Warehouse at the International Land Port


The warehouse was established by the decision of the Minister of Finance No. (27) for the year 2014 under the provisions of the Customs Authority Law No. 66 of 1963 regarding warehouses.

  • The warehouse is covered with insurance documents against risk (burglary, fire, breach of trust) and is covered by an insurance policy on customs duties and value added tax.
  • The warehouse has been linked to the Customs Department in accordance with Article 119 of the Customs Law.
  • The warehouse is built on an area of ​​4850 square meters covered with palaces with a height of 9 meters.
  • According to Article 121, the warehouse is equipped with the latest fire extinguishing equipment and fire safety. It is insured by three security agencies.
  • According to Article 123, the goods may be stored in the warehouse for a period of not more than six months. The period may be extended after submission of a request to the Customs. It may be divided up to a maximum of three times.
  • The customs warehouse at the international land port has all the shipping and labor equipment necessary for loading and unloading of all kinds of cargoes.
  • In accordance with Article 135, we present to you the procedures of the warehouse as follows:
    • A request from the concerned party to store the goods is indicated by approval from the warehouse.
    • His receipt is fully received from the storekeeper.
    • View the storage request on the central Manifest. The applicant or his representative (customs extract) shall submit the storage request attached to all the consignment documents of the Customs Committee at the warehouse.
    • The customs committee shall conduct a partial inventory of the goods in the warehouse every three months.
    • The goods received by the warehouse:
      "The warehouse shall receive all goods imported from abroad except in respect of which a ban decision has been issued or prohibited to be imported."

Regulators

The warehouse is provided by all the representatives of the General Authority for Export and Import Control (industrial, agricultural, veterinary, food, stone). It follows the central administration of the airport branch and is equipped with all the possibilities that prevent waste of time by the concerned parties or their representatives.

Access to South Africa (Mainland)
  • The international land port connects South Africa through the borders of the states of Egypt and Sudan in the south through the ports of Qustal / Arkin ... to the port of Cape Town, South Africa. The route of the cargo shall be through the regional ring road, which is 2 km away from the land port

Access to North Africa (Mainland)
  • The international land port of the North African countries links the borders of the States of Egypt and Libya through the Salum crossing to Chad / Niger The route of the cargo shall be through the regional ring road, which is 2 km away from the land port

Access to North Asia (Mainland - Multimodal)
  • The international land port connects the countries of Asia through Nuweiba (Egypt) / Aqaba (Jordan). The direction of the route from the land port at 53km Suez Road, passing the Ahmed Hamdi tunnel to the port of Nuweiba. Access Nuweiba / Safaga ports via connect the road direction from the land port start from the 53 km end of the Suez road, turning right - Zafarana road to the port of Safaga and return.
